Stopped here for a late night snack. I had a small shrimp cocktail, which was delightfully topped with some avocado slices. My friend ordered a bowl or tortilla soup. The waitress brought out a full-sized plate of chips, lettuce, etc. and he said, "Ma'am, I ordered the soup." She said, "This is FOR the soup." When the soup came out, it was a gigantic bowl, and the price was very reasonable. Looking forward to my next visit.
Wonderful out of the way place with full bar and fast service. Food was good and filling at a decent price.
Not so TexMex as the many Mexican food restaurants in Wimberley. We have not had any problems with the food and the service is good.
I have been to several Mexican restaurants in the area. Although this lacks some ambiance, the food is great! I love the homemade salsa. Not too hot, but hot enough. This place has had several owners over the years. With this new management, hopefully they'll stick around.
We came for lunch. Good food. Yes you seat your self, big deal to all the people whining. You get chips and 2 salsas, one green the other red. Not hot which is good in my book. I had a crispy tacos lunch special and thought the rice and refried beans were on point. So we're the tacos. You folks got to understand this lady is probably working a family business. Her service was fast enough and friendly in book. The prices are good too. Good flavor. Give them a try. I have tried many Mexican restaurants and I will say I would definitely try them again when in the area. They are good.
